Callum Wilson is still top of the Cherries scoring charts with five goals, even though he hasn’t played since September 2015.
The news that Wilson is back in full training will give a booost to a team who are all but mathematically safe from the drop. With seven games to go there is a strong possibility that Wilson may be getting more than a single game before the season is over.
His record before getting injured was 5 goals in 7 Premier League games. In reality it was 5 goals in 6 games. His 17 miniutes away at Stoke hardly represents a full game. That is a scoring ratio of 0.71 goals per game. An impressive ratio make to sound even better by the fact that Wilson is only 2 goals behind Christian Benteke, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney in the current scoring charts.
Imagine how AFC Bournemouth’s season may have unfolded had he and Max Gradel had stayed fit for the season. Even better than we have already acheived this season. Keep everyone fit for next seson and just like Maxi said, maybe we could follow in the footsteps of Leicester City and win the league. We at TFTSE Towers will putting a tenner on the unimaginable, just in case.
We would like to say welcome back Callum. PLus, here’s a few videos of him doing what he does best? What a strikeforce we will have next season.
