Match Report: Bury (A) 3-0

CHERRIES BATTER BURY | The Cherries kicked off the season with a crushing victory over promotion hopefuls Bury. With the scores still even the hosts had a goal chalked off, after much deliberation, for offside. Seventeen minutes in leading Cherries marksmen Pitman opened the scoring with a turn and volley from outside the box. Pitman turned provider on 39 minutes sticking a cross straight on Fletcher’s head for him to nod in the second. HALF-TIME 2-0. The second half was only five minutes old when midfielder Molesley side-stepped a challege and struck a fierce 25 yard volley straight into the top left corner to secure the points.
