FOOTBALL LEAGUE TWO | 20th February 2009 | GOALS: None

The Cherries missed out on a point as Connell’s penalty was saved.

Danny Hollands had a chance early on but the big talking point was the goalkeeper. With Lester through on goal Jalal fouled him outside the box, yellow card.

However, the Cherries fortune were short lived as a long throw made its way to Lester who poked home the only goal of the game.

HALF-TIME 1-0

The second half saw the Cherries up the ante but it was the hosts who went close to doubling their lead. A Cummings shot left the keeper rooted to the spot as it struck the bar.

Soon after the Cherries were awarded a spot kick for handball. Connell stepped up only to see his strike well saved. Fletcher headed wide late on as the Cherries failed to pick up a point.
