MATCHDAY: Beat Sunderland 4-0 and AFCB could be 7th in the EPL

By -

We want six, we want six, we want six. That’s what we were asking for last week against Boro and what did we get? Nothing.

Surely against perenial Premier League strugglers Sunderland the goals could come again. Will we get six? Sunderland are a poorer team than Hull City so that means it’s a repeat of Birmingham away back in 2014.

History between us the and the Mackems is pretty thin. Our first season in the Premier League was the first meeting between the side since 1990. Our record against Sunderland in the top tier of English football is good, one win and one draw. The game at home brought a spectacular volley from ex-Cherry and now Newcastle player Matt Ritchie. He may be gone but he won’t forgotten. And, as always we couldn’t resist showing it again

DEFOE- SUNDERLAND’S SAVIOUR?

Sunderland have picked up two points so far this season, two draws against West Brom at home and Southampton away. When they picked up that point at St Mary’s back in August Sunderland fans must have been thinking more of this and goals from Defoe and we will be alright. Seems not.
We at TFTSE asked Sunderland fans what they thought there chances were today. @Gav1879, Editor of rokerreport.com wasn’t optimistic on Sunderland’s chances, ‘Chances – very slim. We are dreadful. Moyes won’t be sacked. It’ll be tight, 1-0 Bournemouth I reckon’. We reckon he is being optimistic, but we hope Bournemouth old boy Defoe gets a goal. Bet he wishes he was back playing for us.

JASON WAS JUST A PRETTY BOY

The Cherries have no injuries, so Sunderland provides the perfect opportunity to make up for last weeks loss to the other Premier League team in the North East.
Surman is back and Stanislas is back in training. Will he be back in the line-up? Don’t know I’ll give Eddie a ring now. At home we have scored 11 goals in 6 games, Dean Court is becoming a fortress. Can Sunderland get anything from the South Coast. Miracles do happen but St Eddie will be making sure one doesn’t happen today.

A three or four nil win could see us climb top 7th in the Premier League and looking down at Man U. Seventh in the Premier League, a statement no Cherries fan has ever said without a smirk or smile. Believe it, it could happen.

SUNDERLAND, SUNDERLAND WHAT’S THE SCORE?

TFTSE FAVOURITE – PAUL MERSON

Sunderland are struggling badly and at the moment it doesn’t look like they have a chance of staying up. I know it’s still early in the season, but when you haven’t won in your first 10 games all of a sudden you’ve got to go and win three on the trot to even have a chance of getting out of the bottom three. It’s a big ask. Draws are no good at the moment, they need to start winning football matches and you don’t want to be opening the game up against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth triumphed 2-0 in this corresponding fixture last season and should be confident of getting back on track against a woeful Sunderland outfit that already look resigned to relegation.

MARK LAWRENSON

Bournemouth’s defeat by Middlesbrough was a bit of a backward step considering their previous form, but the Cherries are playing well at home and have not lost there in the league since the opening weekend. Sunderland are in a mess, and even a point would be a good result for them at the moment. I don’t think they will get it, though. Ex Pussycat Doll Nicole Shitsinger also went for a 2-0 victory. Wonder who her favourite Cherries player is

BONUS: STEVE SPANGLER

I’ve never played professional football, but I have watched a lot on TV and I’m quite good at FIFA, so I am going to be the resident The South End ‘expert’. Sunderland are sh*t at the moment and Bournemouth are good at home. This in my expert opinion equals a comfortable Bournemouth win
