NO WE DON’T WANT a fight with the lovable people of Newcastle, what we want is a stone cold killer performance from the mighty Cherries. And, just in case you didn’t know the title is a reference to the two cheeky chaps that have been gracing our Saturday screens for years. Though not so much recently, Ant & Dec.
Will we win? Will we draw? Or will we win. We always seem to do well against Newcastle, I’ll try to forget when they beat us 1-0 at Dean Court with their one shot on goal. So should we be confident on getting something from the game? Of course, and Newcastle fans will feel the same. So we will see who happiest come five o’clock Saturday afternoon.
STILL NO JOSH KING?
The Cherries striker told Norway’s TV2:
“If I am not fit for the Newcastle game, I will not play the match. Right now it’s 50/50. If I’m not 100 percent, I cannot join the national team. My club will not to let me do it either. It’s a little special injury, because there’s no timeframe on when I can come back. I just have to know myself when I feel good enough.”
For Newcastle apparently Jonjo Shelvey has ‘no chance’ of making the game.
UPDATE: Eddie Howe, “At the moment, we’re not sure if he’ll play or not, so we’ll have to see.”
Much is often made about how much a team cost, usually by the team who cost less (we’ve done it). The headline on independent Newcastle site The Mag post says
Reality is that 10 of Newcastle United team that will play, cost the same as new Bournemouth signing. It goes on to say ’10 of Newcastle United team to play on Saturday cost £25m, Bournemouth spent £26m this summer on one player. Reality check.’ He did forget to include player number 11, the most expensive signing Matt Ritchie at £12m. So that makes their team cost £37. Admittedly, our starting XI cost has risen to around £75m, but take out our most expensive signing Lerma, and the squad only cost £50m. Read that again – only £50m. Will the cost make any difference to the result? If it did then Man Utd might be doing a little better.
I RECKON (F*ck the experts)
So once again the experts put together their extensive years of experience and knowledge of the game to come up with some useful insight.
So what did the ‘experts’ say?
MARK LAWRENSON – When I say “beatable”, I mean that as good as Bournemouth have been this season, it is not as though the Magpies are going away to play a top-four team. 2-0 to Newcastle
PAUL MERSON – “Newcastle fans will be pleased to hear that I’m going for Bournemouth here.” “I went for Watford last week and they won, they’ll be hoping for the same this week.” 2-0 to Bournemouth
MICHAEL OWEN – “I feel they may have to settle for a draw against a Bournemouth side who are looking for three successive PL away wins for the first time in their history” 1-1
THE SOUTH END are going for a 1-0 win. Let’s see who’s right 🙂
MATT RITCHIE – NO REGRETS
Ex-Cherries midfielder Matt Ritchie has been talking to the press and his obvious connection. He told the Newcastle Chronicle “It certainly doesn’t frustrate me to see them doing better than us at this time. Far from it, in fact”. He went on to say, “It was my decision to leave Bournemouth because Newcastle was the place I wanted to be – and it’s the same now”. Good luck Matt, but hope you lose Saturday.

HOW MANY WILL CALLUM WILSON SCORE?
Eng-er-land, Callum Wilson is in the England squad. WOW. He deserves it. Now Chelsea are interested as well for £35m. Welcome Englans, f*ck off Chelsea.
So now he has been called up will he show why vs Newcastle? Of course he will, just the one though, the winner.
