GOALS: None

The Cherries were twice denied by the post as fellow deductees Rotherham held on for a point. The Cherries were in total control from the off. New boy Rankine headed over after eight minutes, while Hollands hit the post just minutes later. Anderton was denied by a great save and Rankine had a effort saved before Rotherham finally got in a decent shot coming up to half-time.

HALF-TIME 0-0.

The second half was a much more even affair, but it was Anderton who should have won it for the Cherries. Just past the half hour mark he ran into the box and looked set to score but pushed his shot over the bar. With the clock ticking down a fierce shot struck the post yet again. Great performance, shame about the result.
