AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Can we make it three wins in a row?

By -

Three games ago we were stuck on 7 points, had just been beaten by Chelsea and we were in the relegation zone. There were even murmurings of Howe out (shame on you non-believers). Since then we have won two on the trot and Callum Wilson has become the Cherries stop scorer thanks to his hat-trick (sorry Mr Surman). Signs are good, but what about Swansea? They have lost their last four. The last time they won was at home to Huddersfield back in the middle of October.

The last three games has seen us score 5 goals – 4 at home and one away. Swansea have scored zero. In their last three home games they have managed three goals, but zero in their last two matches. Can we really win three in a row? Of course we f*cking can we’ve got Callum Wilson and Simon Francis is suspended.

Surely if everyone’s fit it’s pretty obvious who will start isn’t it? Has to be Wilson and King, doesn’t it. When these two are playing well goals will be coming our way. We are really excited (sure we are not the only ones) to have Wilson back in the team. Just imagine if he is as good as he was before he got injured. But just in case we are wrong we decided to ask the AFCB Twitterati.

Games between AFC Bournemouth and Swansea rarely lack goals – well apart from the two matches last season. We generally score more than Swansea, in fact the last time we failed to score against the Swans was back in 2005 when we suffered two one-nil losses. Ain’t gonna happen Saturday. Another Callum Wilson hat-trick anyone?

At least we know Francis won’t be be giving away a penalty, getting sent off or falling over and letting the other team score. He’s been a naughty boy and he won’t be allowed to play this week. We say it’s a blessing in disguise, he hasn’t been at his best and Eddie will be relieved as he won’t have to shoehorn someone into the team or tell then they’re dropped.
The eternal question – ‘Why isn’t Lewis Cook starting?’ He might be, but I don’t pick the team so I don’t know. I gave Eddie a call but he was busy cleaning Simon Francis’s car (long story). We all want him to play, but Harry Arter has staked his claim, so he will probably start. Lewis Cook just needs for Harry’s yellows to stack up. Won’t be long before he gets a game.
Jermain Defoe, remember him. Niggling injuries and below par performances have kept him out of the starting XI. Can’t see him starting even when fit, unless Eddie goes for a front three with Wilson and King.

We only gave it some social media love the other day but lets watch again. The Swansea action starts at 0.48s, but there is still plenty of action to watch. Just think this is where all started for Sam Vokes, and just look at him now. We scored to live another day
