AFC BOURNEMOUTH v ARSENAL: Opposition fan site Gunners Town reckons we’re gonna be gunned down

By -

How many times have AFC Bournemouth beaten Arsenal? How many times have AFC Bournemouth scored against Arsenal?

The answer to both is none. But history has to change at some point, doesn’t it? We caught up with Dave Seager from Gunners Town who reckons we are going to get beaten by the odd goal or four. Read on to find out what else he had to say…

Q. Arsenal haven’t won the league for a few seasons now and have had a little dip in form like Bournemouth. What do you think is a realistic finish for both teams this season?

Obviously I think we have the players and squad depth to mount a challenge to win it. However, whilst this is our strongest pool of players for many years I think we will fall short because of the lack of imagination of our manager sadly. Second or third.

Q. There is no doubt that history is on Arsenal’s side. But, we all know it’s what happens on the day. What do you think the score is going to be?

Arsenal desperately need to bounce back from 3 average performances and I fear you guys might suffer as a result. Howe won’t sit deep and this will suit us. We may hit 3/4 past you and I hope we do.

Q. Which AFC Bournemouth player would you like to see in the Arsenal squad (aside from Wilshire). And, which Arsenal player do you think would fit into the AFC Bournemouth squad? We quite like Ozil.

Wilson is my instant answer. Like Jack he needs an injury free run and unlike most Gooners who want big bucks and big name signings I was happy for the link to the player. I would love to see one or two of our bright young things loaned to you next season and Jeff Reine-Adelaide springs to mind.

Q. We love our club, but how do Arsenal fans perceive AFC Bournemouth?

I live near Winchester and my son played for you guys so I have a soft spot anyway but all Gooners would admire you and your manager for sticking with your principles and playing football to stay in the league and flourish.

Q. Eddie Howe and Arsene Wenger are two long-serving managers. What do you think of Eddie Howe and how good a job do you think Wenger is doing at Arsenal?

The links are understandable and I for one am watching his progress with a keen interest. I would not throw my toys out if Eddie was the successor.
