Apparently, comments made in the Notts County programme helped spur the Cherries onto victory.
“While Championship football was highly sought-after by supporters with over-inflated expectations, perhaps back-to-back promotions would have been an overindulgence too far for a club that only staved off relegation to the Conference 24 months previous.”
Surely, a comment that could be applied to Notts County themselves. And, who are the promotion candidates this season, who came up with County last season, Bournemouth and Rochdale.
All that publicity and money hasn’t done them much good has it. Never mind at least we won’t have to play them next season. Bye, bye County, bye, bye
