A game against Leicester at the beginning of the Premier League season seemed like a revisit of a couple of seasons ago. Surely, it was set to be a draw, with both teams in the bottom half of the table.
But, Leicester have stormed to the top of the league while injuries have struck at the heart of AFC Bournemouth seeing us sitting just above the relegation zone. However, recent weeks have seen the Cherries get what they deserve and today’s match up saw a more even contest. Well that’s what we thought and it seems we were right.
It wasn’t easy as Vardy hit the woodwork and Simon Francis got a straight red trying to deny Vardy in the 57th minute. Was it a penalty? You decide, but we are with Eddie Howe of course. Shades of match at Dean Court where Steve Cook fouled Vardy very late on as Leicester got a draw throught Vardy’s spot kick. Not this time though as Boruc denied Mahrez withthe Cherries holding on for a hard-fought and deserved poijnt.
