What was the first match you attended and how old were you?
Tbh I was very young and I cant remember but it was around 1982. My dad took me to my first game as he worked in the club shop so I had no choice 😉 lol
One game I do remember was when I was lucky enough to be a mascot at the Man Utd game in 1985 at Old Trafford, where we lost 3-0 in front of 32,000 people and I remember being shown in the Utd changing rooms before the game and seeing Gordon Strachan’s naked arse lol
Who would be your first 3 inductees into the Cherries Hall of Fame and why?
Ian Bishop, the best passer this club has ever seen
Gerry Peyton, quality keeper, still have one of his signed gloves he chucked into the crowd after a game
Luther Blissett, quality striker who played on the world stage and then came to us
The most memorable match seen at Dean Court?
AFCB 3 Middlesbrough 1 promotion year (I had to sit on the pitch in front of the Brighton Beach End)
The Walsall game, 2nd leg of the Auto Windscreens game when we made Wembley
AFCB v Shrewsbury (The Great Escape season)
Best ever goal seen at Dean Court?
Theres been so many important goals at DC that I remember more than an outstanding goal eg all the goals vs Shrewsbury (escape to victory season)
I enjoyed Wade Elliott’s goal v Sheff Wed when we won 1-0, a couple of seasons back, i think it was a 90th min winner and the atmosphere that Tuesday night was absolutely amazing!!
Favourite ever kit?
I love any red and black strip but the elgren kit of 1990 or the Wembley year kit which was memorable!
The best manager to have sat in the AFC Bournemouth hot seat?
Harry Redknapp all day long
The best player to have come on loan to Dean Court?
Its got to be Jermaine Defoe
Worst player to have ever graced the lush green grass at Dean Court?
Too many to choose from but Adam Green springs to mind but also Mohammed Berthe, Chukki Eribenne were awful
Funniest or most ridiculous moment at Dean Court?
I really cant think of anything!!
If your old enough to remember, The South End or The North Stand?
I used to love standing on the South End, i know it was crumbling and old but it had that unique atmosphere that everyone loved. I just loved jumping up and down and going mental, jumping on the bloke in front or to the side and not worrying about the seats banging my knees when we scored!!
Who in your opinion is the best player in the current Cherries squad?
This is one of the best squads we’ve ever had and I can honestly say I’ve never been so excited about a season. I would like us to sign a 20+ goal a season striker and then we would look really good! The player that sticks out for me is Shaun MacDonald, just quality!
What are your thoughts on the current chairman?
At first I was very unsure about Eddie, I know he got a lot of grief about ‘the car park’ but the ground looks very professional and smart! He seems to have the club at heart now and he is growing on me. I would love to meet him and have a chat and ask him what he wants from the club!
Where do you see the club in five years time?
I would like to see us in the championship as a minimum and then who knows but we have to be realistic
The club now has a wealthy benefactor. How and where you would you like to see his cash invested?
To own the ground and for the 4th stand to be built and for it to be terracing as well would be nice and its a great decision to build the training pitches quickly
Who is/are the opponent/opponents that you can’t stand the sight of?
Apart from the obvious of Southampton, leeds and Man utd, i would say Bury and Rochdale
What is the best ground you have visited?
Wolverhampton Wanderers, a superb ground, great victory, a 2-1 win and their supporters were very complimentary about us after the game. I have had a soft spot for Wolves since then!
A BIG THANKS to @pww8afcb for his contribution
