Q. How did your life-long association with the Cherries begin?
A few older friends from Swanage used to go and watch AFCB in the late 70s at home and used to go away to the likes of Aldershot, Reading, Pompey etc one evening I jumped in with them watch a Tuesday night game under lights at the old Dean court and loved it.

Q. What was the first match you can remember attending?
Home game in  1978  only player I can remember was Derek Showers

“I jumped in with them to watch a Tuesday night game under lights at the old Dean court and loved it.”

Q. Who would be your first three inductees into a Cherries Hall of Fame?
Eddie Howe – simply for everything he has done whilst playing and managing, remember being upset when he left for Pompey but at the time he was quality and had earns his move.

Harry Redknapp – player and manager took charge of AFCB and took them to places we had only dreamed of, similar to what Eddie is doing, also loved singing we’ve got Harry Harry Harry Harry Redknapp on the wing on the wing when he played

Supa Fletch – Bournemouth through and through , been there most of my time with the Cherries

Q. The most memorable match seen at Dean Court?
Home to Grimsby to stay in the League -Supa Fletch

Beating Bury to get to Millenium play-off final

Q. Best ever goal seen at Dean Court?
Darren Anderton – free kick on his debut think it was home to Scunthorpe, 25 yd top corner !

Q. The best and worst ever Cherries kit?
Best kit – for me was the TFG kit we wore at the Millennium stadium v Lincoln in the play-off final

Worst kit – has to be the zig zag purple away shirt from the 80s

“Loved singing we’ve got Harry Harry Harry Harry Redknapp on the wing on the wing when he played”

Q. The best and worst manager to have sat in the AFC Bournemouth hot seat?
Best – has to be Harry Redknapp closely followed by Mr Howe

Worst – Jimmy Quinn, Paul Groves

Q. The best and worst player to have ever graced the lush green grass at Dean Court?
Best – Darren Anderton, never rated him really then when he came to AFCB at the end of his career couldn’t believe how good he was, you hear the phrase different class and he was!

Must mention Jermaine Defoe though was lucky enough to see all his games for AFCB again different class

Worst – Callum Hart, Marcos Painter, Amos Foyewa

“I think Simon Francis is quality, he gives you an 8/10 performance week in week out.”

Q. Most under-rated player to have pulled on a Cherries shirt?
Nigel Spackman, can remember Bournemouth fans booing his every touch at some home games, shortly before he was bought and ended up playing for Chelsea,Liverpool and Rangers ! !

Q. The best player in the current Cherries squad?
I think Simon Francis is quality, he gives you an 8/10 performance week in week out.

Q. Which player, past or present, would you like to sit down and reminisce with?
Steve Fletcher, remember watching him when he joined and right through his career we would share a lot of memories

Q. How realistic do you think the prospect of Premiership football at Dean Court is?
4 years ago it seemed a million miles away, now it’s round the corner and although its just a dream there’s a chance I will get woken up soon in a Premier wonderland.
