AFC BOURNEMOUTH 1 CARDIFF 2: Cherries lose out to Welsh wonders

By -

12th August 2008
GOALS: Kuffour

The gulf in quality proved too much to overcome for the Cherries as FA Cup finalists Cardiff went two up in 12 minutes. Cardiff City’s Paul Parry took advantage of a defensive mistake and neatly slipped the ball under Jalal.

Five minutes later more dodgy defending (reminiscent of last season) saw Cardiff go further ahead with Parry making the most of the error.

The second half was a more even affair with Kuffour opening this seasons account with a well taken goal. The Cherries huffed and puffed but never really looked like evening up the scores. Never mind, we can concentrate on the FA Cup and the League.
