LEWIS GRABBAN: Do we want or need him?

By -

The Lewis Grabban saga continues. He seems to think running away from the team hotel because he wasn’t playing is the most mature and professional way to get a move. Is this the sort of player you want in your team?

Ever since Eddie Howe has shown any interest him, he has been angling for a move away from Norwich. He can’t get in their Premier League first team and he can’t get in their Captinal One Cup team. Admittedly, this might have been a form of punishment from the manager, but if he can’t make the Norwich team, why would we want him.

He may fit seemlessly back into the squad and may even be a great backup. Thew question is ‘Is he any better than the current first chioce striker Josh King? Arguably not. Is he better than Yann Kermorgant? Is he better than Christian Atsu? Again arguably not? Is he better than Tokelo Rantie? I will leave that one with you.

The next issue is he worth the full asking price of £8m? No. Is he worth the £5.5m we have offered. We would still say No, but Eddie obviously thinks differently. Opinion amongst the Cherries fans is very much divided as seen on Twitter over the last few days. So to get a better gauge of what the fans think make sure you vote in the poll below.
