AFC BOURNEMOUTH weren’t quite good enough against a team punching above their weight. Remember that’s what the experts will be telling us next season about Sheffield Utd. We hated them yesterday. Today, we hope they do well for the rest of the season (next game v Brighton :-). What did we think of the game? Read on and find out. You can agree, you can disagree, that the beauty of football.
Want more from the Wilsons – Callum Wilson is slowly getting back to form but should have scored before he scored. But, at least he is scoring again. Harry Wilson once again showed flashes of brilliance but faded out of the game and subbed again. Need more falling over near the goal so HW can show off his free-kick skills.
Looking tired – Out of the traps like a bullet and could have easily been two up before Sheffield Utd even really had a chance. But we started to look tired in the second half, hanging on for a point that we deserved, but never got.
Shithouse Surman – With no Jefferson Lerma on the pitch (a definite miss) Andrew Surman stepped up to the plate and got the Utd boss a little upset. And, of course he got the obligatory yellow card. It was almost like Jeff was there.
Fantastic Mr Francis – Our captain once again put in a dogged display and looked comfortable alongside Ake. Can’t believe we have the calibre of Steve Cook on the bench. At least gives Eddie options.
Arsenal on my mind – Ryan Fraser had a decent game and showed what he can do, but some of his decision making yesterday looked liked his mind was wandering off elsewhere. But could still have been the match winner.
Too far apart – Its the small things that often make the difference and as good as Francis and Ake were, Francis was getting dragged out wide and Ake was having to cover. Cue the second goal.
Josh King is back – He didn’t get long (or do too much) but it’s great to see him back. A goal or two from him at Burnely will do nicely.
Burnley prelude – This is the sort of game we can expect against Burnley. At least we should be prepared. You have be warned Eddie.
