Unbelievably, Tales From The South End has been going for ten years. We built our first incarnation of the website way back in 2001, when the Cherries were still at the old Dean Court, Steve Fletcher had only been at the club for 9 years and of course it was the season we got relegated from the old Second Division.

December 2001 saw the Cherries  play six games, 5 in the league and one in the FA Cup. An impressive run of results saw the Cherries lose the opening four games and draw the last two games.

AFC BOURNEMOUTH FIXTURES | DECEMBER 2001

01.12 | FLD2 | Tranmere (H) 0-2
08.12 | FACR1 | Peterborough (A) 0-1
15.12 | FLD2 | Northampton (A) 0-1
22.12 | FLD2 | QPR  (H) 1-2 | Goals: Carl Fletcher
26.12 | FLD2 | Swindon (A) 0-0
29.12 | FLD2 | Wigan (A) 0-0

What a great month to start a website, six games, no wins and 1 goal, plenty to write home about.

Here’s a few snapshot of Tales From The South End from 2001 onwards. Anyone remember us back then?
