CHESTER, BARNET, GRIMSBY & BOURNEMOUTH: Who will still be in the Football League in 2010?

By -

Just over a week ago the Cherries could sense that the great escape was on, only five points from safety. Grimsby, Barnet and Chester were all within striking distance. What’s happened since?

The Cherries have put together 1 win and 1 lose, enough to get them within a single victory of safety. The Cherries currently reside on 21 points with 32 games played. While the Cherries picked off Dagenham & Redbridge to earn a vital three points (away from home), Grimsby managed to squander a two goal lead at home to Morecambe and pick up no points, oh dear.

Chester managed to pick up a point, thier first in seven games and Barnet managed to completely annililate Bradford at home and win 4-1.

So who is the team in form? Let’s compare the last three games:

Bournemouth W2 D0 L1 = 6/9 | Barnet W1 D1 L1 = 4/9 | Grimsby W0 D0 L3 = 0/9 | Chester W0 D1 L2 = 1/9

Apply this to the next 3 games and this is what we see:

20| Barnet P34 Points 30
21| Bournemouth P35 Points 27
22| Chester P36 Points 27
Grimsby P35 Points 23
