The new season sees a new set of teams for the Cherries to beat (hopefully) and fans to visit. Four have come down from League One and two have been promoted from the Conference. That’s six new teams to contend with, But who are they? Familiar names and not so familiar. Find who they are, where they are and how to get there.
RELEGATED FROM LEAGUE ONE
Hereford finished bottom of League One with a mere 34 points. Where are they? Take a look via Google Maps.
Cheltenham managed to muster 39 points, finished second from bottom and should have really gone down last year, but we’re not bitter. Where are they? Take a look via Google Maps.
Crewe finished third from bottom and amassed 46 points. They should have gone down last year as well. Where are they? Take a look via Google Maps.
Northampton make up the League One losers, who missed out on staying up by a single point, and had a far better goal difference than the teams around them. Where are they? Take a look via Google Maps.
Who’s left non-league football behind and joined the exclusive 92.
PROMOTED FROM CONFERENCE
Burton Albion won the league with 86 points two ahead of their nearest rivals. Where are they? Take a look via Google Maps
Torquay won the play-offs and make a welcome return to the league after a few years absence. Where are they? Take a look via Google Maps
Welcome all to life in League Two
Who will be staying? Who will be going? We are TFTSE are not so keen on making predictions because we are generally shite at them. However, the mighty AFCB will be going all the way… to the play-offs. But, because as we said we are poor at the prediction game we are to predict that the Cherries will finish 15th (really meaning we will go up). Come back in May 2010 to see if we were talking rubbish or actually got it right.
