Match Report: v Bury (H) 2-0
FOOTBALL LEAGUE TWO | 20th December 2008 | GOALS: Igoe 39, Partington 44
Two goals against second placed Bury gave the Cherries back to back home wins.
Bournemouth started brightly with Bartley on target within two minutes. Tubbs went close on a couple of occassions and new boy Preston failed to get on the end of a good chance. However, it was a poorly cleared Preston cross that set up Igoe who squeezed the ball into the net via Bury defender Sodje.
Five minutes later debutant Partington doubled the lead slotting home neatly from a Tubbs pass.
Bury shook things up with a couple of subs to bring themselves into the game. As the Cherries sat back Jalal tipped over a 25 yarder but went on to keep a clean sheet and give the Cherries a much needed three points.
