Match Report: v Rotherham (A) 0-1
FOOTBALL LEAGUE TWO | 17th January 2009 | GOALS: None
The Cherries failed to pick up any points at fellow deductees Rotherham as a single goal separated the sides.
Eddie Howe’s second game in charge saw a tentative start, but 18 minutes in Mark Hudson cracked home a great volley and what was to prove to be the only goal of the game.
Connell and Ward replaced Partington and Guyett at the beginning of the half with Howe switching to a 4-4-2. Just past the hour Danny Hollands got himself booked and it only took him another couple of minutes to get a second yellow.
Most of the action was saved for the end of the game as Rotherham clipped the crossbar, Moseley slid the ball agonisingly wide and Connell had a goal disallowed.
