Match Report: v Wycombe (H) 3-1
FOOTBALL LEAGUE TWO | 24th January 2009 | GOALS: Pitman 24, Pearce 32, Thomson 64
The Cherries sealed their first points in five with a deserved victory over league leaders Wycombe.
The return of Supa Fletch saw a fired up Cherries go behind early on after a mistake by on loan keeper Button. A superb thirty yard free kick from Pitman brought the Cherries level on 24 minutes. Eight minutes later Pearce nodded home at the far post from a Pitman corner.
The second half saw the Cherries continue from where they left off. Ward put a header straight at the keeper while Pitman shot tamely. The Cherries pushed forward and got a third as a Thomson cross cum shot drifted into the net. A Pitman free-kick just missed, Wycombe hit the bar late on and AFCB got three deserved points.
