AFC Bournemouth has just announced that next year’s season ticket, that’s the 2009/10 season, is available with 50% off until 31st December for current season ticket holders. This means that an adult season ticket can be picked up for as little as £121.
Admittedly, this is a very tempting offer, but the more sceptical amongst current season ticket holders will be hard pused to be convinced. The best scenario we can think of is another season in League Two with a play-off place at best. Another realistic scenario is that hundreds of Cherries fans could have just paid £121+ for a season ticket in the Conference. A couple of fantasy scenarios could be a ‘white knight’ with millions of pounds to invest or an exclusive set of ultra modern flats overlooking Kings Park.
However, the truth is, us blind fools at TFTSE will ignore all good reason and think I’m going get a season ticket next season anyway so I might as well buy it now, while its cheap. At least we’ll get to go back to those old haunts such as Torquay and even a day out in Weymouth if we’re really lucky.
