It seems that Eddie Howe has been on the phone to some of his old pals to try and bolster the current Cherries squad.
So who’s he been talking to? According to the Daily Echo its Sean O’Driscoll, Harry Redkapp, Kevin Bond, Peter Grant and Kevin Hughes (Football Agent and Richard Hughes dad). So, thats Doncaster, Spurs, WBA and Portsmouth/anyone. So, who’s on their way to the Fitness First?
This is all speculation and conjecture, but there could be some truth in it.
Let’s start with Doncaster. A certain Mr Hatyer has been struggling to get in the squad due to a combination of injuries and selection. And with a certain Mr Steve Brooker on his way to the Keepmoat Stadium I’m sure he would welcome a visit to the South Coast to fine tune his goal-scoring skills. Apparently he has been seen in the area recently, but not within the close vicinity of the Fitness First. However, he could have been and gone or he could have been on his way, who knows?
Premier League Spurs, as you would expect have plenty of youth teamers that should be able to cut it in League Two. Jonathan Obika and Ryan Mason have been banging in the goals for the Youth team with 11 goals and 13 goals respectively.
West Brom, we have no idea who they have available, but I’m sure a defender or midfielder would be welcome.
Finally, Kevin Hughes has already recommended Brazilian Felipe Campanholi Martins who has been plying his trade in Italy with Padova. Recently released the 18-year old is available and is on trial at the Fitness First. I don’t like to put a dampener on proceedings but if he can’t make it into the Padova team, they are in Serie C1, then he cant be that good. Hopefully, I am completely wrong and he will bring some samba to the south coast.
