After sigining for the Cherries in 1992, what were your immediate hopes for the future?
My immediate hopes were 2 survive living without my family, being so far away from home, haha. Mainly it was 2 play as many games as I could
What are your memories of your first season at AFC Bournemouth?
My 1st season was a struggle. Goals were hard to come by and people's expectations were very high but I was only 19 and played only a handful of games for Hartlepool. I then had a 20% tear in my cruciate ligament in my left knee and was out for 2 months and I never really recovered so it wasn't a successful one if I'm honest.....
You have worked with a host of top-class managers. Any favourites?
Eddie Howe and Sean O'Driscoll
You have acheived promotion automatically and via the play-offs. Which gave you the greatest satisfaction?
Playoffs as I scored and got the opportunity to play at the Millenium Stadium with all my family and friends there
You have played with some top-class strikers. Who would you rate as the best and why?
Obviously Jermaine Defoe but I loved playing with Hayter. He always got on my headers and was such a hard worker. We got on well off the pitch which plays a big part in any relationship. The guy was superb to play alongside
Your return to Bournemouth in 2009 was a special moment. Did you ever think you would come back?
Simply No
Your goal against Grimsby at the end of the 2008/09 season was priceless. But, what is your personal favourite and why?
That is my favourite as it meant so much to the club to stay in the football league. If we'd of gone down I don't think the club would have survived as no one wanted 2 take over. I regard that as my finest moment in an AFCB shirt. Still gives me goosepimples when I think about it
Next season will be your 20th at Bournemouth. Is this to be your last or do you hope to play into your 21st season?
Who knows mate. I've always said, as long as I believe I can make a difference to a game either starting or as a sub ill carry on playing
When you finally hang up your boots will you be staying in football or taking up a new career?
I'd love to stay in football and obviously with AFCB. But u never know what's round the corner and in football, it can change from day 2 day. So, all I'll say is I hope to be involved at my beloved AFCB in some capacity
Finally, what has been the highlight of your long and illustrious Bournemouth career?
Only Hat Trick v Brentford. Playing over 800 games, promotion 2010 & THAT GOAL V GRIMSBY 2009. Quite a few, haha. Low points INJURIES GALORE
