MATCH HIGHLIGHTS | 1ST HALF
Three minutes in and the Cherries draw first blood. A flick on by Symes and McQuoid is in the right place to acrobatically poke home the ball. Three minutes later and Pugh takes up free-kick duty hitting the crossbar. Nearly half an hour gone and and Josh McQuoid runs on to a Jalal kick and lobs the keeper. Three minutes later a Stephen Purches shot rebounds off the keeper allowing Robinson to slot home the third for the Cherries. However, with less than two minutes played a Ben Burgess shot sneaks in off the post. Read more…

AFC Bournemouth are set to find out exactly how much they will have to pay Hereford United for winger Marc Pugh.
A tribunal is set to decide the fee with Hereford looking for in excess of £100,000. According to unconfirmed reports the Cherries did not want to pay more than £35,000.
Hereford VC Tim Russon told the Vital Hereford site; ‘We are a long way away from what Bournemouth have offered. Clubs never go anywhere near the true valuation do they?!. ‘I think we’ve put a realistic valuation forward and hopefully what we will settle for will be good for us.’
Let’s hope not and remeber he doesn’t want to play for you he wants to play for a team on the up.
How much did Hereford pay for him?

At least we know what Mr Anderton has been up to since retiring with that wonder goal against Chester.

We have finally succumbed to the charms of Twiiter. Follow us at www.twitter.com/tftse.

According to a report on Goal.com, a Russian multi-millionaire duo aim to buy AFC Bournemouth and turn it into ‘Chelsea by the sea’. Eddie Mitchell said No, must be holidng our for a few more quid.

Just to avoid any confusion we are talking about the Official AFC Bournemouth website at www.afcb.co.uk. Rarely do we venture to the realms of the official online guardian of AFCB and now we know why, its f**king awful.
The home page just makes our eyes bleed. There is an overwhelming presence of pointless content with an abysmal lack of any direction. Whoever built the site must be laughing, they actually got paid for creating that nonsense.
Trying to find any useful information is almost impossible. Users cannot search for anything and trawling the endless lists of menus is irritating and frustrating. We are surprised anyone bothers to visit the site all, we won’t be bothering again until that monstrosity gets a complete makeover.

Finally, the fixtures list is here. To see the full rundown visit the BBC website. It’s a nice easy fixture to kick-off the season with the Cherries visiting promotion hopefuls Charlton on Saturday 7th August 2010. The first home fixture is promoted against relegated with Peterborough at home. But the big one comes on 2nd October 2010 with the Cherries away to Scumhampton, the return fixture coming on the 12th March. There are plenty of other highlights to look forward to, so just sit and gaze at the fixture list like we have for the last half hour.

This long-awaited fixture has been on the cards ever since the Cherries finished the season as runners-up. But, now the added bonus of another match beckons with first round games played in the week commencing 9th August. So before the season even starts Cherries fans will have the pleasure of gracing St Mary’s for a dress rehearsal of what is yet to come. Read more…

Mitchell Nelson is the new boy from Tooting & Mitcham, but what do we know about him. He is English, 20, plays in defence and has been signed on a free transfer and has signed a three year contract.
He was once an YTS trainee at Colchester. He played 3 League games for Colchester in 2008/09, scoring a single goal. After being released by Colchester he had trials with Brentford which were to prove unfruitful. Read more…
